ImproNover Festival

It's going to be spontaneous, creative and surprising again: the ImproNover festival is back! After its successful launch in 2015, several successful festivals and a break due to the pandemic, the festival is celebrating its comeback in August 2025 - and with a new venue: the cinema in the Künstlerhaus in the heart of the city centre.

For three days - from 22 to 24 August - Koki will be transformed into a place of encounters and playfulness. Visitors can look forward to a packed programme: workshops, shows, music and lots of improv magic. Whether newcomer or improv pro - everyone is welcome to join in, be amazed and laugh.

During the day, top-class trainers from the improv scene invite you to workshops - from the first steps in improv to special musical courses. In the evening, Hanoverian groups such as "Die Improkokken", celebrated guests and the festival ensemble take over the stage: rousing shows, surprising twists and turns and plenty of spontaneity guaranteed.

The cinema in the Künstlerhaus offers the perfect backdrop for this: A central location, atmospheric stage spaces and plenty of room for cultural encounters and creativity. The ImproNover festival not only aims to entertain, but also to network - and to strengthen improvisation theatre in Hanover in the long term and enrich the state capital with another cultural highlight.

Behind the festival is a dedicated team of volunteers who are themselves active in the improvisation scene, as well as Magics e.V., an association that aims to promote cultural and aesthetic education. Following the success of previous years, ImproNover is now set to become a permanent fixture in Hanover's cultural landscape once again.
